Why You Need A Weekly Marketing Plan

If you are doing online marketing and you are serious in making this an income stream that will generate you consistent earnings, you would definitely need a weekly marketing plan that you can easily follow and to make sure that you are doing something useful for your online business.

Here's a typical weekly marketing plan meant for online marketers that you can easily follow if you have not created one for yourself.

It involves quite a fair bit around article marketing and affiliate marketing because these two methods are well known for generating significant and free traffic to your sites and to your products whereas for affiliate marketing, its one of the best online income streams that you can use to generate earnings fast (as compared to creating your own product from scratch).

Do feel free to expand on the activities shared or change the day that better suits yourself and your online business.

Your Weekly Online Marketing Plan

Sunday - Do Absolutely Nothing For Your Online Business

You are reading it right. Do absolutely nothing for your online business on Sunday except to enjoy with your family, rest or spend some of your online earnings on stuffs that you really like.

Free and relax your mind from whatever is happening for your online business for the past few days and you will be able to commit easily to your weekly marketing plan.

Monday - Research For New Niches

After a good rest on Sunday, you will find that Monday is a good day to research for new niches that you can work on. You may have came across some interesting niche ideas on your rest day and you can now implement and research for it on Monday.

Once you have researched for the niches you wanted to go into, the next step is to find affiliate programs that you can promote.

The last thing to do for the day is to do keyword research - finding enough keywords that you can use to create articles with.

Tuesday - Writing Your Articles

The keywords that you have researched on Monday will help you to write your articles. For most people who do not have a weekly marketing plan may see themselves just writing one or two articles, have them posted on their blogs and article directories and go on working on other activities - the rest of the week can be just waiting to see if these articles can help to convert for them. This is not very productive for most.

That's why you should commit one full day to writing your articles. If you are good, you can write up to 10 different articles. If you are better, you can rewrite these 10 different articles and have two versions of each articles.

You can also use this day to look for freelance writers or ghostwriters to help you write up more articles. Remember that the more articles you have on one topic will generally help you to convert on your affiliate promotions and generate more traffic to your sites.

Once you have your articles done up, you can submit them to various articles directories.

Wednesday - Maintaining Your Blog

You can use Wednesday to maintain your blog, e.g. update the plugins or reply to comments. The next thing to do is to have your "second version" of your articles posted on your blog.

You can also use this day to think of how to monetize your blog, how to reward your site visitors or on how to bring in more traffic and email list subscribers.

Thursday - Follow Up On Your Email List

Use Thursday to do a proper follow up on your email list. You can provide them with a summary of the new information and niche you have researched and invite them to do a read up on your blog. This is one good method of building rapport with them.

You can also invite your subscribers to check out the affiliate products that's related to your latest research and have their feedbacks.

Friday - Expanding Your Online Marketing Activities

You can commit this day to doing online promotion. Do a tweet on your latest research and on your affiliate products or even telling your Facebook Fans on some of the testimonials that you have received from your email list subscribers.

You can also visit related forums and blogs and participate in discussions that are related to your niche.

Once you are done with these, you can check out for more avenues and tools that can monetize your articles. Track them to see how effective they are. Once you have these stats, you can share with your Email List.

Saturday - Getting Organized And Reading Up

It's time to get organized on Saturday. Use the time to:

  • Clear up your Email Inbox - sort out your testimonials, do some earnings screenshots
  • Clear or arrange your desktop folders - sorting out the materials you need in the long run from the unwanted ones.
  • Catch up on your reading to get ideas and insights on improving yourself and your online business.
  • Be a student - participate in sites or forums that will help you become a better marketer!
